The blue butterfly represents a man being drawn into darkness. The darkness represents depression, anxiety and loneliness. The boy is depicted in red. He is compelled by society to not express his own will. They cannot and must not be together. Because of his age, the boy has no agency. He cannot express his true feelings or even be allowed to have them. Both must live a life of eternal solitude. Society is shown as hidden light at the bottom failing to illuminate from above. * * * Gary's image below was done on a digital tablet.
